2020-05-25 Almere It is with great sadness that Primeur Magazine heard the news of Richard Brueckner's unexpected passing away on May 20, 2020 at the age of 58. For Primeur Magazine, Rich Brueckner was a well respected, hard working and warmly appreciated colleague. To us, it always meant a great pleasure to meet and discuss with Rich about the technicalities of covering HPC events. He will stay for ever in our memory as the smiling, eagerly interviewing news gatherer with the inseparable red hat which became his well known trademark over the years in the HPC Community. The Primeur Magazine team expresses its condolences to his family and colleagues. We will sorely miss his charismatic presence among us. Read further...

Only half of the EuroHPC countries confirmed they will participate in co-funding EuroHPC projects

FocusOf the 32 countries participating in EuroHPC, only 16 confirmed they will participate in co-funding EuroHPC projects from the 2020 calls. Two countries said they will not co-fund any activity - the Netherlands and Estonia. The other countries have not yet published their position. The first call already closes in July 2020. Preparation of proposals for that call will be very difficult for proposers that do not know what co-funding they can expect. Read further...
